Special Issue on Early Childhood Education
Early
Childhood Education (ECE) is a branch of education theory and practice
concerned with the teaching and care of young children, typically ranging from
infancy to kindergarten age. It emphasizes creating a nurturing and stimulating
environment that supports and promotes each child's physical, emotional,
social, and cognitive development. ECE practitioners employ various pedagogical
strategies to foster a love for learning, encourage creativity, and develop
foundational skills in language, mathematics, and science. This critical period
of education lays the groundwork for lifelong learning and well-being,
recognizing the importance of early experiences in shaping a child's future
academic and social success.
